This has probably been discussed loads before but apologies as I'm new to the forum and site (which is cool by the way). I'd like to make my next car purchase an electric one. I don't travel far or need to carry much, mainly small, frequent journeys in and around the city (when I can't use public transport). What is the best electric car for this kind of use? Also cost is a huge consideration, as I really can't afford much more than £6,000. What are my options...........

I'm looking for pretty much exactly the same as you are. Its a pretty difficult criteria at the moment, though I reckon one of the Reva G-wiz electric cars (http://www.electric-cars-and-vans.com/g-wiz) might work for me. I live in the London though, so it might not be suitable for you depending on where you live?

I had looked at the G-wiz but had written off because of price. I guess I just might not get anything cheaper? Think it would work apart from that. Do you know if they sell them outside London....
