Tesla Electric Cars
The electric car has attracted enormous amounts of interest recently, and not a little of it is to do with the Tesla Roadster. The Tesla Roadster is the first production electric sports car and its really lifted some eyebrows both within the automotive industry and amongst the general public. The Roadster challenges head-on all mis-conceptions about electric cars being slow, un-trendy, only the sort of thing a Green MP would drive, etc. Instead of being a slow, unattractive, glorified golf cart, the Tesla Roadster is a modern, highly attractive, very high performance sports car that many celebs are tripping over each other to get a hold of.
One of the main men behind Tesla is Elon Musk - this is the man who is also a founder of Space Exploration Technologies (a rocket company!) and PayPal which in 2002 he sold to E-Bay for lots (and lots) of money. If that isn't a good starting point for an ambitious electric car company, then what is? The Roadster electric sports car is no longer a pipedream either -
