Peugeot iOn and Citroen C-Zero - the same car!

New electric cars - Just been reading about the Citreon C-Zero and thought it looked familiar. Then, realised it sounded familiar. The C-Zero and the iOn are the same car - read on to see the pictures. Is anyone going to mention this?? I'm not quite sure what the rationale behind having a Citreon one and a Peugeot one unless manufacturer loyalty is really that strong.
The stats for the Citreon C-Zero are:
- Lithium-ion battery and a top speed of 80mph (130kph)
- Range around 80 miles (130km)
- Charge time in 6hrs and just half an hour for an 80% top up.
Exactly the same as the iOn.
And yes, produced in collaboration with the Mitsuibishi Motor Corporation. Both are due for release in Europe in late 2010. Be really interesting to see if there is going to a price difference!!

March 14, 2012 - 5:34am — felipealonsoEveryone seems to be competing on the best electric powered cars on the planet. It was pioneered by Nissan and Chevy is closely following with the Volt. However the difference would be the charging time and how many miles it will run before the battery runs out. The Lighting Design is very much the same - very conventional.
