Electric Cars on TV - Okay a little off topic from the usual posts but tonight we hope you are planning to watch Top Gear. According to the paper, tonight the 3 big kids try to build an electric car. We're rather optimistically hoping Jeremy Clarkson doesn't use it as an opportunity to indulge all his prejudices on electric cars but well, watch this space.
Incidently the programme before, This World: Can Obama Save the Planet? has a load of stuff on renewable energy including the new GM Motors Volt Electric Car. You can't help feeling the 12,000 strong Powershift movement while impressive have their work cut against the oil and coal barons of Texas. For a laugh though we strongly recommend the section where the interviewer talks to Larry from GM Motors. Watch him squirm.
