Haven't heard of many points in Scotland. The two I know of are public charging bays in the car parks at St Enochs and Braehead (shopping centres in Glasgow). These are free charging points for electric bikes and cars. You need photo id and have to pick up keys to access the points.
I think as well as charging points we need a 'quick refill' solution equivalent to filling up at a petrol station. Maybe a battery swap system would work, but infrastructure for that seems to be non-existent at the moment...
Yeah, would be good if we could get a list compiled. I think a good option especially in more remote areas would be solar panels or wind turbines which power charging points (like they have solar powered signs and panels on some roads up north). At the moment someone is still paying for the electricity, as a sort of good will public gesture, which is fine but the whole point is to be more sustainable so if they could rig them in with micro renewables.......
I know there is a charging point at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway in Bristol. I think this was one of the first public electric car charging points outside of London.
There are two bays in the shopping centre underground car park. I'm pretty sure there quite a few charging points in London.
